Charcuterie Board [shar-koo-tuh–ree]
These charcuterie boards are becoming very popular to use to display all your finger foods and are perfect for a large party, a small gathering or for just yourself! I like to put together a small charcuterie board for even just my husband and I as a pre dinner snack with a glass of wine as we wait for perhaps something in the oven to finish that might be another hour or so. These boards are used for much more then just meats and cheese.
Be as creative as you like and add multiple of each if you want, depending on if it's just a personal tray for two or a large party. If you are having a large party, small bowls placed onto your board are great for nuts, dips, mustards, olives and even jams if you like.
Endless possibilities are in front of you as you are planning your board. The fun thing is everytime you make one it will most likely be different than the one you did before. That's the great thing about this is the variety in how much you can do.
If you are hosting a large party, you can even garnish the board with some perfectly placed kale, sprigs of rosemary, parsley.
Meats (ham, peppered salami, turkey, summer sausage, etc..) (watch how to make salami roses below!)
Cheeses (any cheese you are loving at the moment, mmmmm...cheese...!)
Vegtables - Cucumbers, Pickels, Bell Peppers, Celery, Radishes, Brocolli, Cauliflower, etc..
Crackers (just omit these if you are doing a low carb diet) Any variety you like
Small slices of bread, perhaps with some oil for dipping in.
Fruit (most keto friendly would be blackberries & raspberries, in moderation, otherwise use any fruit you like such as strawberries, kiwi, grapes if you are not low carbing)
Dried Fruit
Olives (black, green, kalamata, stuffed olives)
Nuts - Any variety (lowest carb are almonds) you can do cashews, pistashios, or whatever nut variety you like
Jelly & Jams
Chocolates

I even will make a charcuterie board for watching movies when I am on the low carb keto diet, instead of grabbing the popcorn I will make myself a little board of olives, cheese, cucumbers, pickles, olives, and maybe a rolled ham or salami. This is the perfect keto snack to keep me on track and not have cravings.

Bring a charcuterie board of all your favorite low carb snacks, and you can even mix in crackers and fruit too, but you will be bringing something everyone will enjoy and making sure you are Keto prepared for the holiday parties you are attending.
